Ali Hassan is a founding partner at Perceptive Capital. He is a decentralized finance advocate and founded Perceptive to fill the demand for institutional quality access vehicles in the DeFi asset class.
Prior to Perceptive Capital Ali founded and successfully exited Crescent Crypto Asset Management, a $380m AUM investment management firm. Prior to that, Ali was on the investment team at Fairview Capital Partners, where he authored a thematic research report titled “The Rise of Blockchain” in 2016.
Mr. Hassan began his career as an investment analyst at Goldman Sachs where he traded equities and options.
Ali graduated Summa Cum Laude with an Honors B.S. in International Trade and Economics from Saint Peter’s University, writing his senior thesis on the socio-economic and political impact of oil in Egypt. Ali was also captain of the university's NCAA Division I swim team.
